I started The Pet Professor, LLC in 2016 after recently retiring from a full and rewarding career as a college professor, but I've always wanted to make a go at helping people with their pets when they are unable to.  So, here I am in midlife, making a career change!  I have enjoyed the company of dogs all of my life, and over the the years have also enjoyed the company of a cat, a horse, several gerbils, and cuddly little guinea pig.  I have provided pet-sitting for friends and neighbors while they were away; my charges were cats, dogs, birds, and a bearded lizard, and we all got along just famously!

I've used positive training techniques with all my dogs, from puppies to adults.  My companions have been rescues of different ages and of mixed breeds--except for my little chow chow--and each came with unique and wonderful temperaments.  Each came to my home in varying degrees of health and confidence, but all came to trust and understand that my children and I loved them, would keep them safe, and would give them many years of happiness.

My mission is to take care of my customers' pets like they're my own. And that means coming to you and your home to attend to the individual needs of your unique pets. I'll routinely walk and/or play with your pets and give them the love and reassurance they may need while you are at work, on vacation, attending conferences or business meetings, or are away for any reason or any length of time.

Serving Northern Colorado since 2016.  Licensed through the City of Greeley, CO, and insured with Pet Sitters Associates.  Certificates available upon request.

I look forward to earning your business!
